Who we are

This Privacy Notice describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from (the “Site”). We are MissJD (located in Vienna, Austria) and we process your personal data as controller. This means that we are responsible for how we process and protect your data.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.

1. Personal Information

When you register on our Site, we collect some of your personal data provided by you during the creation of your Account and afterwards you add further details. We only process the personal data that are strictly necessary for us to bring the best service to you.

2. Order Information

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, and phone number. We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations).

3. Comments in the form of reviews

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

4. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

5. Cookies

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

6. Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Where are the data stored

We host the application and all the data in our own server located in Austria. Servers are protected with security certificates, and proper security measures are taken in place to store and encrypt your data according to international security standards.

Who we share your data with

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

We share your order information with service providers who provide us with assistance or support, these being payment providers (such as credit card) inside the European Union.

We use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you, which you may receive only when you subscribe to our newsletter. You can opt out of these services simply by unsubscribing from our newsletter.

How long we retain your data

We will process your personal data for the time necessary to meet your interests as long as you have your account active. Plus the retention periods required and/or allowed by law (such as tax authorities).
